Parveen Chopra
Founder of ALotusInTheMud.com, Parveen Chopra is a seasoned media professional who specializes in wellness, personal growth, and spirituality. A trained teacher of Transcendental Meditation, he founded Life Positive, India’s first body-mind-spirit magazine in 1996, from New Delhi. He has also worked in senior capacities at India Today and DNA (Daily News & Analysis) in Mumbai and has contributed articles to international publications such as Yoga Journal.

Moving to the US in 2008, Parveen edited The South Asian Times for over a decade from Long Island and One World Under God interfaith journal. He writes a regular Lotus Pond column on Patheos.com, a multi-religion American platform, and contributes to ‘Asking the Clergy’ column of Newsday. He started the Lotus web magazine as a not-for-profit after Covid-19 to offer free content readers can use to be healthier, happier and at peace. A wider aim is to aid understanding and harmony among faiths and communities.

Parveen believes that all religions have a common mystical core. Born a Hindu in Punjab, he refers to the Vedic verse, Ekam sat vipra bahuda vadanti (Truth is One, the sages talk of it in various ways).
